Accessibility
This site should work for everyone who wants to find out what Max does and get in touch with him. If it does not work for you, that is a fault worth fixing.

What we aim for
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Colorado law requires state and local government websites to meet that standard; private businesses are not bound by it, but it is the right target, so we build to it anyway.
What that means in practice
- Every photograph has a text description of what it shows.
- Text and background colours are checked by measurement across every element on the page, not by eye, against the 4.5:1 and 3:1 contrast minimums.
- The whole site can be operated by keyboard alone, and the focus outline is always visible.
- Headings run in a real order, so screen reader users can navigate by structure.
- There is a “skip to content” link before the navigation.
- Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel-wide screen, and stays readable when zoomed to 200%.
- Animation is limited, and is switched off entirely for anyone whose system is set to reduce motion.
- Nothing important is conveyed by colour alone.
- Tap targets on phones are large enough to hit comfortably.
Known limitations
Some of Max’s job photographs were taken on site in poor light. They have been colour-corrected to make them clearer, but nothing in any frame has been altered, so a few remain lower in contrast than a studio photograph would be. The caption beside each one always describes what it shows in text.
Telling us about a problem
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please say so — and you do not need to explain why.
Call or text (720) 436-0222, or email maxhotmud@gmail.com. Tell us the page and what went wrong. We will reply, and if you need the information another way — read out over the phone, or sent as plain text — we will do that.
This site has been checked by measurement — contrast across every element on every page, heading structure, and full keyboard operation. Testing of that kind catches a great deal but not everything, so if you use a screen reader, magnification or switch access and something here gets in your way, please tell Max. It will be fixed.
